On this day of gratitude, I find myself at peace and grateful for my life, my family, my friends, and my cancer! For me, I must accept all my life and be grateful, because if I am selective about what I am thankful for, my reservations hold me back from being truly grateful. Gratitude needs to be all in!
Cancer has brought me many new friends, great docs and medical professionals, and allowed me to reconnect with the truly important things in life which include family friends and being of service to those I encounter each day. I have had the honor to share 1/1 my cancer journey with a handful of newly diagnosed guys and am very grateful for that. Many of you have supported me in times of confusion, for which I am extremely grateful.
Gratitude is both a gift and a choice in my opinion. How I choose to look at my life in this moment is where I have power. I choose to be grateful for the many gifts and challenges. I choose to show up today grateful and show my gratitude to those I encounter.
As I sit here this early Thanksgiving morning, reflecting on my life and the gifts I have, it is easy to be grateful. I wish you and your families a grateful day and thanks for being there for me and other guys! Peace Denis
