Hello everyone,
My father was diagnosed with PC 4+4=8 Gl score in 2015. He was treated with Zitiga, but stopped working for him. After that he started a course with docetaxel 6 times, but doesn;t work properly. His oncologist gave him a course with Jetvana, and he started with PSA 200. After 2 Jetvana course (3 weeks between then) now he is on his 3 course, but the PSA is 500. Does it means that Jetvana doesn't work for him, or he should wait for another course.

Lots of smart people will post, but what you don't write about is what your father did before? I'm guessing he had some form of radiation therapy? More info needed.

He has radiotherapy on his bones.
For prostate cancer the therapy was :
1). Zytiga - 1 year and 9 months
2). Docetaxel - 6 month
3). Jetvana - now today is his 3th session

I would think Hormone Therapy like Lupron should be on that list. I am sorry for what your father is going through with this disease. Others will be around to help you.

I will be starting on Jevtana in a few weeks, after what will be 30 cycles of taxotere.
I am on Lupron as well, and it surprises me that your dad is not. The Jevtana is more indicated, I'm told, for those with bone mets (which I have).

I am warned that if it works, I'll have some substantial PSA bounce, and additional pain in the first cycles. They will reevaluate after 3 cycles (unless I have some unexpected side effects).

After he was diagnosed, in 2015, what was his primary treatment ? Surgery, Radiation or Hormone (Lupron) therapy ? In any case, it looks like the Cabazitaxel is not working and there is little reason to continue it. If his Oncologist has run out of treatment options it might be time to travel to one of the big cancer treatment centers like MD Anderson and see if they have anything to offer..
