... am now waiting for my last Lupron shot to leave my body so I can start to return to normal.
My RO gave us both a big hug at our last appointment, and told us to go to Florida and enjoy ourselves. I have a followup in May for my first post radiation / ADT blood work.
Congratulations on successfully navigating the choppy waters Cap'n G!
Sooo, I'm curious... are you a Fla resident, snowbird, vacationer, or planning to retire here? My wife and I retired here 2-3 years ago and both got hit with cancer right away. But I love this place and don't miss the great white north at all. In fact, other than the summer heat here bring relentless, I remember our summers in the midwest being far more brutal. No way I would want to face driving thru ice and snow for our treatments!
Anyway, it looks like your treatments went like clockwork, with your RT six months post-op and a fairly light Lupron sentence. Good luck on your post-RT blood work. I was truly shocked when mine came back zero. Hopefully yours will be undetectable as well. And enjoy Florida!
