...the anxiety of the next physician visit. Hubby goes to the James on Friday for his next injection and labwork. Praying we will see another < sign before his numbers. We've had a great month of living and not focusing on things. Back to reality again, sigh... I guess we will get better at this over time.

It's difficult - there is so much riding on the numbers. Hang in there and here's hoping you get good news.

WoW! With your husband's pathology, his post-op PSA was great!! Hopefully the Casodex and Eligard will help keep it down.

It will be tough for the next year or so just before those PSA lab tests and results. However, if they remain low or undetectable you may find it gets easier and easier as time goes by. Thinking positive and living life to its fullest in between helps.

Keep living the good life. The stress for Friday should be Easton vs. Polaris. Harvey & Eds vs Marcellas. Your hubby will be your zero hero for years to come.

Good luck with the numbers. I will be praying all goes well! I do good with not thinking about it until I do. It is hard for me to turn back off.

Thanks to all - it helps to hear from everyone. Will post our results. Definitely hopeful that we will be celebrating again with a good meal out or some shopping (both?) - maybe Harvey and Ed's this time if all goes well. My husband does a great job not obsessing - he leaves that up to me.

You wives are the best. My wife worries for both of us also. We try to give ourselves a treat after our monthly trips to Dana Farber - an exhibit at the nearby Museum of Fine Arts, or a dinner out. Best of luck on Friday.

With time, the follow-ups become less stressful. As you have more good reports, you will become less apprehensive. As I counsel others on a board for a different medical condition, "There's nothing wrong until there's something wrong."

Talk with your hubby. Tell him how this affects you. Let him share some of his confidence with you and let it "rub off on you."
