Wow! What a wonderfully presented and beautiful title page to your upcoming book of poems!

Thank you for giving us a first look at this work-in-progress, and if the contents are as attractive as the packaging, then your readers will be in for a rare poetical treat!

Artistically, the form and layout of the title page is very appealing. Simple but elegant. The illustration (one of the 19th century Impressionists?) is both pleasing and compelling. Does the image of the boat on the shore symbolize taking rest from the cancer journey, or that the journey has been completed, or even not yet begun? And the high hill in the distance to the left, a mountain left to climb? Or the sunlight in the distance, that there is hope on the horizon? A truly thought-provoking title page.

By all means keep us up-to-date on the book's progress, and let us know when purchasing it is an option!

The picture is of the prePress copy I received on Friday. It should be for sale soon - I'm waiting for the publisher to finish their work. It's suppose to go on Amazon sometime next week and I'll be getting some author copies in a week.

The picture on the cover is an oil painting my wife did in an art class. I told her I wanted a boat for the cover as one of the poems has a boat theme. She came up with this one. It fit - battered, with a story to tell.

Their are two groups of poems in the book - one about my PC and the second a response to my mother's death from pancreatic cancer. It's not exactly an uplifting book, but I hope it's thought provoking and a true emotional response.
