The key factor in me switching from my uro-prescribed PSA tests to PSA testing as a part of my regular scheduled checkups with my internist started with a
conversation with the uro. It went something like this:
Me: I'm having regular bloodwork as part of my regular checkups, and then separately going in for PSA testing prescribed by you. That's like twice the hassle. How about if I just combine these and have the PSA test as part of the other regular bloodwork?
Uro: Sure. Just email me your PSA results, please, so I can continue to track your results.
Me: Ok thanks.
I suggest having a
conversation with your uro.
