Hi all, just checking in after a long while. After a nice long period of lull on lupron with some radiation thrown in, we had some recurrent lung Mets show up on a scan earlier this year. So with great trepidation, we added on Xtandi - and have really been pleasantly surprised by the results. First of all, PSA had dropped to undetectable which is wonderful and the lung mets have disappeared on the latest scan. Also, curiously, the Xtandi addition seems to have counteracted some of the SEs of lupron especially tiredness. My husband is reporting and clearly feels a lot more energetic and cheerful. It's surprised all of us, including the doctor. Hopefully this continues for as long as it can, but in the meantime we just feel thankful and blessed especially since it's been 5 years since our G9 diagnosis.
