On 8/28/19 I had my 3rd and last HT "Eligard" 6 month shot.
Seams to me that I have more and longer hot flashes....Is this normal....?
Saturday night I was riding my motorcycle home and I thought it was nice and cool, Until I had a hot flash that lasted all the way home....
At the begging of this big "C" ordeal, I was told Radiation and 2 years of HT, My URO just told me last shot, Can my RO over ride the URO stopping at 18 Months..

I think it’s pretty common that hot flashes vary in intensity over the course of treatment. I’ve had days where it just stopped fir 2-3 days then came back with a vengeance

I I don’t think it’s a matter of RO’s and Uro’s overruling each other they’ll give you their opinions and the facts at the end of the day it’s our decision. Not always the best thing but is what it is because nobody really knows the right answer.

MG, I agree with Prato. It's your decision, not the RO's or the uro's. You should ask each one what they recommend now, based on the most recent data about your PCA (which could present different facts from what your doctors knew at the beginning of your journey) and the medical literature. Given the SEs your experiencing, what added benefit can you expect from an additional 6 months on ADH that would compensate for the effect it's having on your quality of life?

Absolutely, and you can override both of them. The studies I've read suggest there is little to be gained by more than 18 months of HT. Your case, with G9 might be unique, but if it were me, I'd do some in-depth research, and ask probing questions. Good luck!
