My brother (G9) is on his fourth chemo treatment, but we are looking for a next step. I first learned of Lu177 not long after I had my prostate removed. At this point we are thinking it might be the best next step for him. His wife has been looking for a treatment center and they are willing and have the wherewithall to travel to Germany. For some reason travel to Australia is too difficult. He tires very easily and I understand that would be a lot harder. So we are also looking for possibilities here in the USA. Is it true the only possibility is a trial, and the particular one is full, and only 2/3 chance of being in the treatment group?
It seems the German and Australian groups are far ahead of the US work. His Dana Farber doc only gives him a year and half or maybe two years, but she doesn't seem to be working very hard, or at all, to find a next step. His local MO is the one working with his chemo.
Looking for help, please.
Jim
ps, My psa went undetectible after starting Lupron, adding Xtandi and then proton radiation. ADT ended last October. Testosterone came back last Feb and so far I'm doing fine. I'm hoping we can find a way to make the same happen for my brother.

Has he checked with Oliver Sartor at Tulane or Eugene Kwan at Mayo? These are two well respected, aggressive leading edge PCa oncologists. Worth a few calls.
