I disagree. Economies are like plants. You have to water them. If you leave them dry for a while, then water them, they will come back. If you leave them dry for too long. . . they don't come back. I don't think any of these scientists at CDC or any such organization have the qualifications to assess how long we can shut down our economy before major segments of it wither and die. That is why we should not place all of our confidence in the scientists without also considering the economists' input.
What point is there in being alive if all you have left to do is watch the tumbleweeds roll down main street?
I'd bet a zillion bucks any of the now 60k dead would love to watch tumbleweeds roll down main street again.
