Well Andrew Reynolds-aka "InTheShop" appears to be alive and well in his new digs in Reno, Nevada. BTW the rumor that he changed his login to Tall Andrew is not true. Andrew's blog site is here:
https://andrewsviewoftheweek.com/2020/08/23/the-differences-between-san-jose-and-reno/Wondering what happened to certain folks… Especially on this site, where we have such a temporal kind of contact with others. Sure, some may leave their e-mail in their profile, but most do not. So unless someone actually knows someone, maybe their actual phone number, we may loose track forever. Even with the amazing Internet for searches, if you don’t know a last name, you’re out of luck. I kinda of, well really absolutely hate loosing touch with someone I once knew, or thought I knew, or someone “ghosting” me. It's not because my last name is actually Kasper, not THAT kind of ghost. So often we never know why.
I'll try a little free verse:
Is it my deficit, or theirs?...Did someone I care about
not care about
me?...or even think of me?? …How selfish of me anyway to think that way…. But alas…what we thought we knew..,we didn’t. ..What we thought we would find out, …no news….yet…. and what we think of ourselves…Who cares!? Our “good” relationships to others….others may see entirely different. …But yet we persist, and even resist, we settle for nothing-ness in the answer, …yet we still strive for perfectness of thought. I thought, “But I thought I knew ya laddie, but I didn’t know you at all!” “Say it ain’t so, …where have you gone Joe DiMaggio!
