This is from today's Boston Globe. I have a subscription, but I think even without a subscription you get to read several articles without needing to log in.

Well, I think the opposite of that is also no surprise for many ADT guys on the forum. In the past, something pretty dammed serious had to happen for me to cry. Since being on ADT, I don't really cry, but the impulse to do so comes easier.

Having "more access to my emotions" is not something I have been able to normalize. I would rather it was back the way it used to be.

I took T-Meds for several years surgery..... Unlike others on this site, I never experienced the "huge difference."

I continued taking the meds because I could.... LOL

The NOT having to do blood tests twice a year and a visit to the URO was more beneficial.

I came from a very abusive family background, had to get lots of counseling to straighten out my emotional state. As a professional artist and a musician I am very much in touch with my emotions and do not hide or suppress my feelings. I laugh much more than I cry, but if I feel the need to cry I do so. Testosterone + or - hasn't seemed to make any difference to my emotions.

I have quit caring very much about T or sex after almost 9 years of dealing with this crap, am much more concerned about whether the last round of radiation has killed off my bouncing baby mets and whether I am going to recover from my Xtandi-induced walking problems before we go back to the mountains in late August. It would really be fun to reacquire my robust physicality again too, as those 'ADT' poisons have aged my body at least 15 years. Just 5 more months.......

I have " normal " testosterone without being on any hormones...I cry every day at least once or twice...nor uncontrolled sobbing,,,just tears of joy mostly...makes me feel alive...as much as laughing or anger or sadness...any emotions do...what do I have with out them??

I absolutely require testosterone injections. I know the danger but one has to walk in my shoes to know why I do.
Year's of opioid use for pain ruined my bodies ability to make testosterone and I'm a emotional wreck without TRT.
I suppose ADT would help but it's not going to happen. I'm just not emotionally cut out to live without TRT

I also take T injections each week. My doc wanted me to stop, but when I did, I aged 5 years overnight.
I also completely lost my libido.

After I resumed the shots, my wife asked me if my penile implant pump had been broken.
He does want me to have biopsies more frequently and I don't find them enjoyable.
