LU-177 - My Next Treatment

Well, after 75 positive posts and replies, #76 is going to break that streak. PSA went up, by around 15% last month, to 0.74. Now, two things I know: 1) most of my brothers out there would love to have that low PSA score, would have given anything to have a drop like I've experienced since August last year (from PSA=65), and would have wanted to be able to get LU-177 treatments. As I've said, I'm as blessed as anyone.
And 2) This is a journey we're all on--full of twists, turns, potholes, forks in the road, and mountains to climb. So, I've had a twist, I guess, and from this my wife and I will trudge on. I was diagnosed Stage 4 over 5 years ago. Statistics say I'm very lucky just to be here! I am blessed.
LU-177 update: Look for the brand name Pluvicto from Novartis. They restarted production in Italy and New Jersey in early June after a brief stoppage. Production is growing, and in addition to expanding those two sites, they're building a new production facility in Indianapolis that will be operational next year.

I always follow your posts. You've shared insight and perspective, and I can tell you're still facing forward.

There's not a fellow here who hasn't experienced that "punch in the gut" feeling when there's an uptick in PSA. Even a fluctuation or "flutter" of a few hundredths of a point can lead to that dismal feeling.

To be sure, I have been there!

That being said ~ I can tell you're dusting yourself off ~ and readjusting that saddle ~ and getting ready to get back up on that 🏇 horse ~ to keep riding forward on that trail. You're not getting bucked off, that's for sure!

Your LUTETIUM-177 treatments have paid UNBELIEVABLE benefits and dividends. I need to let you know the trail you have blazed has instilled hope in so many of us here ~ that there ARE new treatments that are emerging!

I remember being excited, some months ago, when you stated that repeating the LUTETIUM-177 treatments would be a definite possibility, down the road. Hold onto that hope!

Your PSA is still in decimal range. Giving thanks for that!

Has your medical team weighed in lately with any thoughts or current recommendations?

There have been times when I have been told that it's time to simply "watch and wait" & "wait and see."

As I reported in another thread, my MO said there was a lot of excitement for Pluvicto (the trade name is new for me but easier than typing out Lu 177 PMSA 🙂) at the ASCO meetings this past summer.

One thing that he found especially hopeful, and which you mentioned earlier in the thread, is that the treatment is repeatable. As we are fond of saying around here, maybe the can be kicked down the road for a long time.
