As many of you know, PCRI.ORG hosts a large annual PC conference with many notable speakers. I've been to 3 of them and they are excellent, with many world-class experts featured. Dr. Scholz and Mark Moyad are the main hosts. This year's conference is virtual, today and Sunday. Go to their site, if interested. It's free.
So I just finished watching Moyad's
opening remarks, which are always informative and enjoyable.
It is interesting that he mentioned supplements. He pointed out that we once surmised that vit. E and Selenium would be helpful vs. PC. Eventually that was totally debunked (I think by the SELECT TRIAL). He then went on to say that Vit C and Zinc has so far not outperformed placebos (based on initial results from a major study by the Clevelend Clinic) for COVID tx/prevention. Of course, we have folks using a truckload of words praising the virtues of such nostrums. They may indeed be correct, as per Dr. Moyad there are only preliminary results and the CC study is ongoing.
