Powell had prostate cancer back in 2003, so it’s safe to assume prostate cancer did not take him out. He suffered a form of blood cancer that compromised his immune system.

He was in Vietnam, as his first war. In my mind he was a great person, man, and General. A good role model for so many people.

He died from COVID-19 complications. He was fully vaccinated.

And his multiple myeloma blew his immune system apart, so what actually killed him?

Probably complications of COVID-19. The vaccine, as we all know, doesn't provide complete protection. Just to be clear, I'm not downing the vaccines.

Regardless of what you think of him, he was our Brother in cancer.

I have a relative with multiple myeloma and she's in her 40's. She's fully vaccinated, but due to her severely compromised immune system, the doctors won't let her go out in public and she has to wear a mask if she is anywhere near someone not in her immediate nest. The doctors had her get fully vaccinated prior to starting her cancer treatment, to enhance her chances of survival should she contract COVID.
