Thanks guys. Part of me wants to gather all of the information from my meetings with the RO and urologist, find a remote cabin in the woods of NH, VT or ME for a couple of days and go over everything without any interruptions except to eat and sleep (of course).
Boomer, that reminds me of what I did 14 years ago. After meeting with multiple doctors for both surgery and radiation my wife and I took off for a few weeks in Florida to digest, discuss and decide. Early on it's so confusing but clarity does come.
BTW, as others have noted either surgery or radiation is likely to cure you. It's more a matter of what you need personally and what side effects you are willing to tolerate. Surgery will give you quicker knowledge of your actual cancer and satisfy any needs you have to "get it out". But radiation will be likely to provide an equal cure with lesser chances of onerous side effects.
Also, as others have noted, not all RO's are expert in various techniques. I would recommend you speak with specialists in at least SBRT and HDR Brachy.
Best of luck,
Jim
