Wanting to be prepared, I bought mega packages of incontinence supplies. I have underwear and pads galore. But, to my glee, I don't need them. I hope the senior center is open during this pandemic, and I hope they will accept them.

I opened each box (Depends and pads) and wore the Depends for a couple of nights to be safe. A year later I threw away the two full boxes that were safely stored in a cabinet and forgot about. Better to be lucky than prepared sometimes.

That’s great news! I believe it took me 3-4 months before I could toss-out my pads.

YF, FWIW, i was fully continent within about 3-4 weeks IIRC, and after SRT, i was fine, a little more urgency for a month or two after the SRT but it subsided and I'm back to normal. Occasional minor stress leak, but nothing that requires me to wear a pad or anything.
Hope that calms you down.

Friend, recovery takes time, and it can plateau, then move upwards, then occasionally swing down and so on. Where you are now sounds great. I wore pads at night for a month or so, and dry during the day within a few weeks.

Just keep it going....

I had ART after surgery and like Prato, experienced some urgency afterwards but that was it other than tiredness, just underwear and a few dashes to the bathroom.

In addition to the prostatectomy and lymphadenectomy, according to my billing two more procedures were performed. One was urethral suspension, cpt 51990. This is a procedure to reduce stress incontinence. Researching the CPT code, I found some surgeons may be bundling this with the prostatectomy. I'm not knowledgeable about anything I report. I'm just passing along my experience, hoping it may be of value to you.

Four weeks post RALP, and I'm stress leaking again. It's not a big deal, but I have started wearing a pad per day. I've resumed all my activities, so it makes sense. Hopefully, this will pass with time, but I'm fine even if it lingers.

RALP recovery is anything but linear. Hang in there…

You'll find that recovery is a process, and it takes longer than you think it will. You'll make a big improvement, then slip back a little, hit a plateau for a while, then another improvement. Eventually...like 6 months to a year..you'll decide you're at your new normal.

I'm 7 years out tomorrow. And a few months ago I was having some incontinence/leakage problems. And then they went away as quickly as they showed up. I have no idea what triggered it, and what returned me to my previous no leak situation. Just something to roll with.

Friend, what did your post-RP pathology report say? When will you have your first post-op PSA test? Both are of great importance.

I posted my post RP pathology in a previous topic. You must have missed it. Hopefully, my attached signature will tell the story. I'll take my first ultra PSA test in two weeks. Thanks for your interest.

That appears to be an excellent path result! What do you mean by "+ focal" ? Was there focal EPE (Extra Prostatic Extension)? If so, you would be pT3a rather than pT2. Do you mean "no positive margins or EPE"? (BTW, the "p" in pT staging stands for pathological, rather than clinical, staging.)

A signature helps everyone: those reading, who don't have to hunt or remember the poster's history and findings, and the poster, who doesn't have to keep repeating.

Thank you for the corrections and questions. You perceptions are spot-on. The +focal is described as,
Margins involved by invasive carcinoma limited to <3mm,
location of positive margin is left anterior,
Margin positively in EPE is not identified,
Gleason pattern at positive margin is G4.
The pathological stage is pT2 pN0.
I'll update my signature accordingly, but only post it sparingly. Thanks again for your assistance.
