There also have been enough adverse events in however they track those things to give a reasonable person pause before they roll up their sleeves.
Now that it is an accepted fact that vaxed people can still get and transmit the virus, there should be no coercion.
Stephen, do you know how many adverse events there have been from the vaccine? I don't. But if there have been 10,000,000 , which i highly doubt, then the rate is infinitesimal. There have been 12.3 BILLION vaccines given worldwide. Divide 10,000,000 by 12.3 billion.= .0008. i suck at math but i i think thats 8 100ths of a percent.
I dont think there have been enough adverse events to give a reasonable person pause. I make no moral judgements on the unvaccinated folks, i used to but i am way passed that. I just dont think at this point, that its a smart risk to take. Maybe early on. But we've had enough experience by now to know that its safe, and theres also enough data to know it makes a difference.
I'd guess instead of 400-500 deaths a day that we are experiencing right now, if we had 95% of people fully vaxed and boosted, that number might be more like 100.
I wish everyone the best, vaxxed or not. We can only hope that at some point the vaccines and treatments get better to the point that combined with some level of immunity from infection in the community, those many of us here who are immunocompromised can go back to some semblance of a normal life in our "golden years".
Personally, I'm so tired of thinking about
it, talking about
it, worrying about
it, that its almost hard to put into words.
