It has been a bit more than 1 &1/2 years since I quit Eligard and Xtandi after getting another 106 Grey of radiation over 30 sessions. 56 Gy to 3 pelvic lymph node mets and 50 Gy to the interior pelvic lymph nodes. This after 2012 surgery, 72 Gy of radiation to the prostate bed and 2 & 1/2 years of Firmagon/Lupron/Eligard. After a 2 & 1/2 year 'break'. PSA went back up to 3.3 ng/dL so I was back on Eligard with Xtandi added. The Eligard side effects are fading, some of the damage from the Xtandi is not, may be permanent.
Got my most recent 3 month blood test results yesterday at the doc's. PSA is now less than 0.003 - "undetectable". Blood tests go from 3 months to 6 months starting now - next one is next May. I have lost a lot of muscle and distance running capacity, doc says I may not recover that stuff. He encourages me to stay active and to work out as best I can. Will check the testosterone next time too, though I got nothing.
