I think there are many reasons why Zytiga works well for some people, and not so well in others. Some of it may be genetics. For some reason men who display the BRCA one or two mutation respond, better to different forms of hormonal therapy, then men who do not. I think a persons mindset plays into it. I think people of faith tend to do better. I think people who believe there is hope tend to do better. it really is just a crapshoot. Somewhere in my fourth year of diagnosis I met a guy who was 23 years at stage four. That’s pretty amazing. It help me to believe that things like that were possible. So far throughout this diagnosis I have continued to do well, and I pray that that will always be the case.
