Glen,
Just continue telling yourself that 2023 IS going to be a good year. Many of our afflictions just take time to heal, and nobody really knows how much time they will take.
I am now more than 6 years post SBRT and may (or may not) have seen PSA nadir at 0.47. My next test will be in late January and will show just what that last reading means (could go up, down or stay the same). Time will tell.
For several years, it seemed that every July or August I would have yet another bout of rectal bleeding. Bleeding bad enough that my gastro classified it as Hemorrhagic bleeding. BUT (don't tell anyone) this past year, all has been quiet on the back front (pun intended). Maybe (just maybe) enough time has passed and it has settled down. 2023 will tell.
Your post treatment life will probably be a lot like mine, and that of some others. We have our ups and downs, but over all, the trend is better. Given enough time, things will improve enough that we will accept the fact that the trend and progress made is pretty good.
I hear you loud and clear on the orthopedic issues. I, too, am among the group suffering from chronic back/spinal issues. In my case for almost 10 years now. I have been through medications, minimally invasive treatments, several rounds/attempts of Physical Therapy. . . you know the drill. I am truly bummed out by the impact this all has had on my quality of life, especially over the past 3-4 years, but I am dedicated to finding a way to make it so 2023 is a better year.
Join me, if you will. We owe it to ourselves and those we love.
