Looking for RO in LA

So I'm considering moving to LA County, probably the Santa Clarita / Palmdale area.

I now go to Walter Reed to have my recurrent PC tracked after surgery and radiation (14 years now). My PSA is rising very slowly, 3 or 4 years DT, and is at 1.4 now. My RO there says once micrometastases show up on a PSMA scan, he will consider spot radiation in a whack a mole fashion, repeating it if necessary and suitable.

I'm willing to fly back if needed but wonder if there is an RO in the LA area who also does the PSMA / spot radiation protocol.

Hello - I will leave the specifics of LA area to others but UCLA is well known for their RO work and will have everything available. You will be around an hour or so from there but a good starting point. You will not be going through endless sessions this time so a little easier to deal with travel time (DC area will prepare you well for this).

Or possibly any of the great RO Doctors at City of Hope, Duarte. (rated by US News and World Report as the 3rd best Cancer Program in Califonia.) Or they also have a ROs at the City of Hope Lancaster Clinic, near Palmdale!

Definitely UCLA. Their radiotherapy department uses all forms for PCa…..EBRT with traditional fractions and SBRT, and both permanent seeds LDR brachytherapy and HDR brachytherapy. And, of course any necessary combination of therapies. I am not aware that any other institute or clinic offers this full range of treatment modalities.
