Skipping a day with the VED

First post.....
My Dr. told me to use it every day for a year....but sometimes trying to fit it into the daily schedule is difficult. So maybe 3 times since I started using it at the beginning of April of this year I've had to skip it....

I could just call my Dr., I know what they will say, but I'm curious about anyone else....I understand about the scar tissue, but my wife and I, while we love each other, we're not intimate anymore. Its a discussion we've had and both of us are ok with it.
Getting old is bad enough...I don't need something else to worry about...;-0

Hello - The pump is a good idea for just stretching everything out and keeping blood flowing if nothing else. My urologist practice recommended every other day, 15 minute sessions, if that helps any. After maybe 6 months, I went to MWF as that worked better and gave me weekends off.

I had surgery and RT so the ED odds were not with me and we have a similar situation to you. Life is good.

Thanks for both of your responses...... I had a TURP done in Feb of 2020, and thats' pretty much when the ED started......and got worse after my prostate was removed .....emotionally its been difficult, but hey.....cancer free so far!

Are you on any meds for ED? My Uro, then my RO advised me to take Cialis Daily 5 mg. I was told that this would promote blood flow to the area, which is what you want. Even if you aren't interested in a useful erection any longer, daily low dose Cialis might do what the VED is meant to do.

Just a thought, I am not an expert

Thanks for the tip.....after my TURP my Uro, gave me an Rx for sildenafil, can't remember the doseage off the top of my head......2, an hour before intimacy IIRC.... I did it a couple of times but hated the way it made me feel.....increased heart rate, warm flushed feeling, so I stopped...its been probably a year since I took it......but I like your idea of taking a low dose daily...and I will run that by him at my next appointment which is pretty soon...

I started on Viagra (sildenafil) low dose (20mg x # you want to take) and ended up with a couple of bloody noses after a few months which is not a common side effect. Switched to Cialis (tadalafil) after a month off which was better for me but stays with you longer so a trade off. They helped but not enough to overcome the baseline ED.

You are still very new to this so hang in there. Usually 1-2 years is the upper end of the ED recovery period, after that little chance of improvement so you have a ways to go.

yeah...Ive been lurking here since I joined and have been through a lot of the threads....Many of you have been in this journey quite a bit longer.....thank you for the support!
