There is a blog I follow, Called Dans Journey Through Prostate Cancer, https://dansjourney.com. Dan has visited this forum a couple of times. He is great writer, and was invited to start writing for an online Cancer publication.

His first article was just published and it will ring true for pretty much all of us, I think, so I am sharing it with the group, with his permission. It talks about the fact, that when it comes to prostate cancer, we have to with guidance from our physicians, so often make our own decisions on treatment

I have slowly worked my way through his entire blog finishing it this morning. He is a great writer and I benefited a lot from all his observations. I'll continue to follow his journey. There were many things that I found instructive but I liked how he said that in his view it's better to state there is no evidence of disease rather than saying cancer-free. In his case, that turned out to be true as he had a reoccurrence.

I hope that have PSA counts at zero after my surgery. I plan to refer to them as no evidence of disease.

Good thought Jason. BTW, I saw your comment on his blog, he's a good guy to talk to. I think he actually works at the hospital he is being treated as (though IIRC, not as a medical professional, maybe a tech guy or something.
