Jason B - I think you are making a mistake by using a forum or forums to base any statistical analysis or conclusions on. My guess is that forums represent way less than 1% of all PCa patients and tends to attract those with more difficult situations and those who like forum participation in general.
The overall statistics for prostate cancer diagnosis survival are good like near 100% at 5 years, 98% at 10 years, and 95% at 15 years per JH which is irrespective of treatment method. Keep in mind that this is based on all treatments done in the last 5-15+ years, not today.
Clearly, recurrence risk goes up with the Gleason score and staging but there are the other items you have such as family history, high Decipher score, cribriform pattern which are not included anywhere in the statistics and some are newer criteria.
My Dad had recurrence at 13 years and my wife at 17 years which means you are never free from recurrence risk with cancer. There are a number of men on the forum with cases that most would not expect a recurrence to happen with but here they are. Cancer is a diabolical enemy and quite unpredictable with time on its side unless you die from something else.
There are many sources of the information you are looking for. The most well known but older were the Partin & Han tables from JH:
https://www.hopkinsmedicine.org/brady-urology-institute/conditions-and-treatments/prostate-cancer/risk-assessment-tools/han-tablesCleveland Clinic, MSK, and others have similar charts, graphs, and/or calculators but they are generalities and to not apply to any one person. A 1% chance sounds low unless it is you.
