Change in xtandi reimbursement program

If you are

1) taking xtandi
2) using private insurance (Not medicare)
3) are already enrolled in the xtandi reimbursement program somehow

I have news

I just had to enroll from scratch because xtandi switched the administor of their patient assistance program.

They did not transfer my information from the old administrator to the new one.

In order for me to get assistance I had to switch from capsules to tablets, which for me means a new prescription.

just fyi.

My prescription was inexplicably changed from the four capsules to two tablets, and I'm glad it was. It's the same total dose and from what I can tell online there is little to no difference in effectiveness. No more trying to swallow those 4 giant capsules every night. A couple of times I thought I was going to choke on them. The two tablets go down very easy.
