AMS800

Six years post RALP. Six Depends, sometimes more every day is driving me nuts. I've poo poo'd the thought of an AUS or a sling ever since surgery but have about reached the point of at least entertaining the idea. Anyone here that could recommend a good surgeon for this procedure in the Raleigh/Durham (NC) area? My urologist/surgeon's practice is not big on the AMS, but supportive of the Sling. The single surgeon in their practice that does the AUS does at most one or two a month and his reviews are similar to Mengele's, so won't be going there. I would prefer a surgeon that does at least ten or so a month and has been for years. Thanks.

I too may get an AUS in Spring if I qualify. RALP and Radiation. Never been continent. I sought out an expert who deals with prior radiation patients and has done many of them. I went to a Major University nearby which turned out to be Northwestern Univ. (It was a toss up between that and Univ. of Chicago.)
