The link below is to an interesting news article-plus-short-video about
a local cancer charity for kids that has operated here in Gainesville for about
twenty years now, but now feels its time to wrap it up.
We tend to think of cancer charities as large, well-funded and well known, and many are, but there are also some operating on a much smaller scale run by, as in this case, a husband and wife, whose efforts are nevertheless generous and helpful, even if on a smaller budget aimed at a smaller target group.
Their website:
https://www.climbforcancerfoundation.org/The link describes how this couple was inspired to pursue this activity, and the success they have had doing it, and why they feel it's time to move on now after doing what they have been able to do.
A couple to be admired for the years of help they have devoted to children in need.
Sometimes it's nice to be reminded that there are some really good people in the world.
