Hi, well first day was ok, travelled into the city, appointment at 11am, on the machine at 11.02 and all over at 11.15, no probs at all, then had a long chat with nurse, seeing the Doc every Tuesday for the duration of treatment, which will last until 25th Jan 08. the treatment is photon beam, and they say is very successful, so fingers crossed.

Good luck---shouldb be a breeze!    I put two large shot glasses on my dresser and put 36 pennies in one of them....after each treatment, I took a penny out of one an put it in the other....I found it to be very theaputic as I could visualize more and more treatments under my belt!

Mal, great to hear it was that straight forward. My wife was in the hospital this past week and my Dr. is her urologists as well and he ordered another PSA. Well it came up undetectable - again. I say again only because it was undectectable 4 weeks after surgery and then at 8 weeks it was a 0.1 eight weeks  and I was off to radiation. I guess it's playing "hide and seek", so as of today no radiation - yea!

Hey kdnole great news on your PSA!! hope it all stays the same, looking around the oncology clinic I see poor unfortunate souls that are far, far worse than me, and they are all battling on with the same resolve, i admire them so much, it is a very sobering experience.
