Fever from Armour

Hi,

I'm new here and new to hypothyroidism. I have had Lyme disease and co-infections long-term and recently was tested where my TSH came back at 3.4 (normal according to the range) Free T3 2.8 and Free T4 .8 (low).

So I was "technically" fine or mildly hypothyroid and I was given a trial of Armour thyroid to see if it would help some of my persistent symptoms that in my situation could be either Lyme or Hypothyroidism. I started 30mg of Armour over the weekend and today I'm having a horrible day. Swollen throat, high fever, headache, muscles feel like a truck hit me.

Is this common for this med? I had to leave work which I NEVER do. It's very severe. I haven't changed anything in my Lyme treatment lately that would have set it off.

Thanks. I'm on a very low dose, (one of the lowest possible) so I think it would be unusual for it to be from an overdose, but I will definitely tell the office about it. I was concerned that it might have been adrenal related. Luckily the fever went down today. It was 104 yesterday.
