Levothyroxine at night or mornings?

So I went from 100mcg to 125 and for the first time in years Ive decided to give it a try at night instead of morning, with study and researching that it tends to absorb better around night time. And being that taking it in the mornings hasn't been working lately I figured what the heck, let me try it for a week and see if there is a better change.

Input Please : Do you find it better to take your medicine in the am are night time?

I take mine first thing in the morning, then wait 45 min-1 hr before eating -- food affects the medication absorption. Basically, any time of day, as long as your stomach is empty and will stay that way for a little while (so before bed would work, as long as it's 3-4 hours since you've eaten).

For a while a few years ago, I started eating these meal replacement bars for breakfast (because they were SO yummy!) and I started getting symptomatic. After my bloods showed no real change, we started looking at food. Turns out the meal replacement bars were primarily soy-based, and soy in particular interferes with thyroid hormone absorption -- but no one told me that before!

I take mine in the am, I usually have to get up a couple times during the night so I take it then. I used to take it when I got up but then waiting for an hour before I could have a cup of coffee just did not go well.

I do the same i am up going to the bathroom and have it sitting on the counter and take it then, so I can have coffee when I first get up
