So sorry you are going thru this ! After being dissatisfied with my endocrinologist for years (unwilling to listen, dismissing my symptoms, not running the tests I requested & would pay for). I have spent last week or so trying to understand thyroid tests, why they look for certain things, what are 'within normal range' levels & why the relationship of T3 & T4, & other levels are not defined by clear borders. I checked out 2 library books - authors Gena Lee Nolin & Mary Shomon - both have info online including a FB site ' Thyroid Sexy'. A lot of info, including in the Notes, including list of doctors by location. I Found so comments & you may find some answers by inputting key word in the search area. Some of What i learned is: different people react in varying ways, not only to dosage but to type, even brands, of medicines. Thyroid levels can rollercoastering. Still Very confusing! I do understand a bit more, including what tests I need have done & that I need a doctor, a good one, and the name of a integrative dr not too far away, thankfully, To check my adrenals, hormones, thyroid, etc because all need to be in balance. Do hope you will find some answers hon.
