New here - anyone else have test showing T S H level in the thousands ???

I am New in the thyroid area.. usually I read & post in chronic pain & fibro.

Recently had major health problems & am just out of hospital -
With additional issues / questions.

Several doctors at hospital were astonished at the over 50,000 report from lab tests..
Especially since T3 & T4 were ‘normal..
Are starting to schedule the retesting; blood, ultrasound, MRI, etc

Today is first day of my recent searching - for years I have read books & researched online.
Thought I would start with experienced folks
After the great info I have found about fibro & chronic pain.

Not going to be really concerned until similar number shows up again.

Update
After taking Synthroid (25 Mcg) for 2weeks, another blood test was done; just received results. T S H is now 20 & a prescription was called in for higher dosage (75 Mcg)

Comments or thoughts?

What is the range for the TSH? and what is your FT3 and FT4?

I don’t see ‘TSH’ on report - could it be called something else?

Can you post the ranges for the T3 and T4? The ranges should be on the results sheet. Also those are Free, right? FT3 and FT4?

I've only seen TSH as TSH on lab results.

Hi.. just complete several tests last week. Yesterday rec’d call from my primary care w/results.. Hashimoto.. Am getting thru everyday life; bathing, dressing, eating, is exhausting, throw in (post stroke outpatient) tests too & just deciding had far ahead to call Uber to arrive at appointments sometimes throws me for a loop. I Feel ‘good’, happy even, overall better than before prestroke & I Enjoy that, every single day. Tomorrow no appointments so I start researching.. online. my primary reassured me that she can treat me just fine, at least for now. Several years ago I read a book about thyroid issues by Gina Nolan as I had ‘gone thru’ several endocrinologists, never being satisfied w/results. So going to start w/her FB page. So I intend to find information for not only myself, but also to give to primary care in order to get referral, IF I feel seeing a specialist is best for me. Thoughts? comments?

Diane, wow, I just read all of your posts here. My gosh, you have been through the wringer with health problems. Sadly, this is a really slow forum. In spite of everything, it sounds like you are making headway & getting things under pretty good control.

My husband has been on Synthroid for several years now. It has worked keeping his numbers in the normal range. I am a little confused, so will ask this. Do you feel comfortable letting your family dr handle this or would you prefer seeing an endocrinologist? That is quite an increase in the Synthroid. What was the drs reasoning for the increase since you have had a substantial drop in your numbers?
