Hi All,

I had a thyroidectomy 2 yrs ago and 2 mths ago had no thyroid level at all.  Now I'm on meds but still can't get themleveled out. Anyone else have this problem and what are youdoing to work with it?  I amj so.... lathargic I can barely get out of bed most days.

I also have Fibromyalgia and RA to top it off.  I am a walking medical mess.

I've been where you are - thyroidectomy in 2006...took me three years or so to feel "normal"...are you on T4 only or Amour (T4 and T3) or ?? I had, I think, the opposite experience of most with thyroid meds...I was determined that Armour would work for me and while I took it I continued to suffer thru weight gain, exhaustion, panic attacks and extreme hair loss. After my body kept rejecting Armour and T3 in any form, I finally "gave up" and stuck with T4 only (Levoxyl) - and finally leveled off in a matter of 6 months or so. Hair loss stopped, etc.

Thru the whole experience I worked with a great naturopath who was willing to look beyond lab numbers - who is treating you/prescribing your meds? It would be great for you to find a practitioner willing to try prescribing different kinds of thyroid meds (Armour, Levoxyl, Cytomel, etc.)
