sudden appearing. lpainful lymph node on thyroid with fever

Hi

Just had my 5th stoma revision and a relocation due to stenosis that keeps recurring with stomas. No disease. Ended up needing stoma due to gyn surgery injury!

Now have short gut syndrome 5 feet of small bowel left.

Am jumping over from ostomy strand, because yesterday I awoke with a very painful lymp node on thyroid and a temp of 100. Doc says go for thyroid and other tests for infection.

I pass out evry time I stand up. Am only 57 and no ither issue (as if this not enough)! Is this a thryoid issue or did I pick up a bug?

esoR, the sudden onset of your symptoms suggests an infection. Thyroid symptoms usually appear much more subtlely, they sneak up on you.

Your doc is right, some simple blood tests should sort this out pretty quickly and hopefully you'll be on your way to recovery quickly.
