Should I worry?

I have gone over my last colonoscopy from a week ago.  I noticed one of the pic's is noted to say "SERVERE PROX TRANS COLON COLITIS".  Should I worry?  The other pic's say Moderate sig. colitis and prox desc colon mild colitis.  I feel so stupid when it comes to this subject.  I know I am new please forgive all the questions.  I will get into the swing of things soon.  Any help would be greatful...........

It doesn't seem you've been diagnosed with UC yet?

Proximal...close to the origin...so, it would mean you have severe inflammation in the beginning part of the transverse colon which would be just about or after the hepatic flexure.

You have moderate inflammation in the sigmoid colon.

You have mild inflammation in the beginning part of the descending colon...which is just about or after the splenic flexure.

What exactly does the report say about the rectum, between the areas that are stated as severe/moderate and mild?

You don't need to overly worry, that just means that part of your colon is more inflamed than the others. Here's a link to a short summary of what is considered in classifying UC:

These are the written quote's that go along with the pictures that I had been given.  I don't have the written report yet.  I will get that on the 3rd.  I have been diagnosed back in dec, 06 by the last colonoscopy that I had.  That dr. really didn't tell me anything either at that time. 

Thanks for the info.  I am just so out if it with all the info coming in I am almost affraid to eat because of this.  Any and all pointers would be greatful.  Thank you again.
