uc pain

there was a 5 year span between my colonoscopies. last june i had one and have had severe abdominal pain since then. i have had a ct scan and there is nothing to indicate any additional problems, only some mural wall thickening. my doc says it's just the activity of the disease. has anyone else experienced anything similar to this?

Whenever i have a colonoscopy my colon gets very irritated and it causes me a lot of pain.
