Joy, no not CAUSE Uc - I believe I was already predestined to get it due to my mother having Crohns but I do definately believe it was the case in part of my trigger. My husbands grandmother made some "poisonous" turkey every year for Thanksgiving. Stupid me didn't believe everyone when they told me that they usually have severe gas pains and D that same night after eating this turkey. Yep, It happened to me! In my case, the D just never went away while everyone else got better.
You're are so lucky that fish bone didn't do any harm! But ouch! Didn't that hurt?
Yes. Some people are predisposed to Colitis. I was just saying that not everyone is, not that some people aren't.
No it didn't hurt to swallow the fish bone. It just felt very uncomfortable when it was stuck in my throat. I was so hungry that day. I even saw myself put the bone in my mouth and swallow it. I was eating too fast to stop in time. Anyway, the bone got caught in my throat, not that far down but far enough that I couldn't get it back out. I probably should have gone to the doctor's. Oh, well. It's too late now. I didn't feel anything after the rice dislodged it. I ate a lot of rice. Hopefully, the rice protected my insides from it. But I still don't know whether or not swallowing the fish bone had any affect on my digestive system. I was living overseas at the time, getting traveler's diarrhea, taking antibiotics, and drinking lots high-fructose corn syrup teas.
