Falling ill to a bug whilst on Humira

Has anyone suffered the flu or a cold while on Humira?

I ask because my stomach has not been happy for the past few days-- D and cramping every day-- gassy, too but I don't think it is my UC playing tricks as I feel kinda blah. I know that while on Humira you might find it difficult to recover due to the medicine but I'm wondering if anyone else has had any experience with being on this stuff AND being sick beyond your UC?

I just got stocked up today by my doctor with humira pens-- I seriously have like 6 months worth at the current dosing!

Hi Ryan, I don't have any experience with Humira, but I do know that sometimes right before I'm due for my infusion, I get that gassy feeling, and also a little more tired. Glad you are stocked again with those pens. How are you doing with the Humira other than this what you are dealing with right now?

ive been on humira for mayby 6 months now and i dont think i get sick that much more than i did before but i have noticed that if i bump into something i bruise alot easier and the bruising stays alot longer.

I've been on Humira for over a year and have not had any other types of flus or colds since being on it (knock wood).

I've been sick while on Humira, I also get similar symptoms when developing a bug. My first symptom is "D." That's the first hint for me to notice that I'm getting sick. I have oddly enough been getting the flu every other month, unlike winter of 2007-2008 not gettting the flu bug at all even being around children who get it, and me cleaning it up. It gotta be the medicine. Possibly the longer it's in your system the easier it is to get sick.

How are you handling the Humira? Is it putting you into complete remission?
