probiotics-UC-fungal infection?

hi,

i am just wondering - you may have already discussed it - started taking probiotics, UC got much better after that - but not a complete remission, though, - and some skin problems began, i have always had eczema, but apart from that my groin area seems inflamed too, could it be eczema too, or 'diaper rash', or fungal infection? feeling pretty bad, itchy and not comfortable, has anyone had this?, what creams have you used...

UC since 2001, sulfasalazine 8x500mg , omega 3, probiotics, anti-allergy -loratadine...

and can it be a side-effect of sulfasalazine, is it considered old generation medication?

Yup, I am overweight, and I do get yeast infections at the panty line or under my breasts. I use miconazole cream if it's bad. That cures it so it must be fungal, but then again, the skin gives off a yeasty smell. I haven't figured that one out yet. Perhaps it's a combination of both. If I don't have the problem at the time, then after bathing, I dry those areas with a hair dryer, and use baby powder. If you've a mild case, and you're not going to be out in public, I've found mixing a little vinegar with water and applying to the spots works pretty well. Then blow dry. This is the simplest and cheapest method of control. I'm also trying to lose the extra weight which I believe set me up for the yeast problems. Also, run your panties and bras through the washer on hot. That also seems to help keep the incidences of it down.
