Antibiotics made me flare

*UPDATE* My stool samples came back the other day. Turns out I got C. Diff. from the antibiotics i took and it caused pseudomembraneous colitis. My Ulcerative Colitis was not affected, but it caused colitis like symptoms for me. I am feeling much better now and am nearly done my course of flagyl. I just have to send in another stool sample after I'm done my flagyl to make sure the c.diff. is gone... YAY lol

It's good that samples were done and that you're feeling much better from being on the flagyl.

Gads, sure hope you'll soon be rid of the C.diff! To think that all the trouble started with infected earlobe piercing ... How are your earlobes now? The old wives' tale was to always wear solid gold earrings (at least the posts) because that protects the earlobes from infection. / Old Hat (30 yrs with left-sided UC ... [etc.])
