It looks like the norm is 99mg, which is 3% of the RDA.
Is there a reason the supplements are such a low dosage?

Because they are worried that people will die by overdosing on potassium in supplements so by law 99mg is the max they can sell in each pill yet 1/4 of a teaspoon of salt substitute that you can buy in grocery stores contains 530mg of potassium and one large potato contains 1600 mg of potassium so I don't see where their logic is.
