Hi all... its been awhile since I've been on here.  Just stoppin back in to say thanks to all of you on here.  I was really bad a few years ago.  Surfing the internet one day, I found you guys. And you guys on here gave me hope, ideas, and answer, As well as the biggest thing... support. 

Thankfully, I went into remission after trying a diet I found on here ( which worked for me, but I realize not for everyone ).  Have remained in remission, except for a few mini-mini flares lasting no more than a day, two at most.  I caught them quickly and got them snuffed out.

I recently had one of my clients get diagnosed with UC and i recommended her here.  I hope she made it here.

Just basically stoppin in to say HI and thanks.

Spinach and sunflower seed diet. But I am down to only having about a can a week on spinach. Unless I start to feel like a flare is coming on. Then i go back to eating a can a day for a week or so.

In last year's episode of House, when he was discharged from the mental hospital after a breakdown, they gave him a party and lovingly cheered "We hope to never see you again". I am happy for you.

I suspect that many who have left the forum achieved control over their disease largely thru diet, just like you. But they no longer hang around so we don’t really know. I thought it would be more like avoiding dietary triggers like dairy or gluten than adding something new like spinach.

I agree it really helped me the last 4 months on blood thinner, just grabbed some in my lunch salad.

You do not often hear people posting they are not having UC anymore so this is great to read. I guess you got the last laugh on you co-working horseshoer.

Great that you're managing well, Bubba! Thanks for updating us. You're still taking Lialda, right? / Old Hat (30 yrs with left-sided UC; presently in remission taking brandname Colazal)
