Was the second time was oral and did you take any or increase probiotics?

Cipro was the only medication that put me in remission for four years. I have tried asacol, remicade, humira, 6MP, cyclosporine, the works, and yes, Cipro was the only medication that worked for me. Unfortunately it doesn't work for me anymore.

Thanks for the extra info nssg. It will be very interesting to see how many with or without problems took extra probiotics or didn't take any at all.

I was not taking probiotics at all the first or second time.

bbc, you might want to ask Judy2 for more specific info. She posted on page 1 of this thread that she flared seriously after taking Cipro last yr, and she's generally well-versed in using probiotics in conjunction with antibiotics. / Old Hat (30 yrs with left-sided UC; presently in remission taking brandname Colazal)
