I know they'd affect me negatively but I imagine it will be unique to each woman.
There are also non latex condoms out there.
Have you ever read "Taking Charge of Your Fertility"? I've been using the method for years now with great success and I never use condoms (HATE them!). I can definitely understand wanting to have some VERY reliable birth control in your situation. The book is really worth a read and, if used correctly, is very reliable. It involves charting your cycle, taking your basal body temp and keeping track of your cervical fluid. You can then choose to use condoms (or some other barrier) or abstain on your fertile days. It's a pretty big book but it's really not much to do once you get the hang of it. **This is NOT the same thing as the "rhythm method"**
