Lialda Pharmacy Card question

For those of you on Lialda and with an Lialda Pharmacy card, does this program expire as of 12/31/2011 or will we just need a new card?

I just started Lialda and I registered the discount card and I noticed it said the offer is valid from 1/1/11 - 12/31/11. Now with My Humira card it doesn't run calendar year like that. So I wasn't sure if I can just get a new card next year and still get the discount or if the program is going away. I can't really afford it without the discount card so not sure I want to even bother filling it once if in January I can't afford it!

You need to go to their website and sign up for a new one at the start of the new year. You will be able to print out a temporary one while you wait for them to send you a new card. This is what I did last year:)

Thanks beeswax, I was hoping that was the case but wasn't sure. All the drug benefits work different!

I had to print out a new card because when I called the number on the back of my original card, they said they weren't renewing it so I simply went to the Lialda website and filled out the information for a new card.

I've called my GI nurse and she had checked with the sale representative. Called me back and said that I should get new card via mail Dec/Jan. Still waiting for it and if there is none in my mailbox in the next few days, probably will register online for it.
I've got my monthly supply just before Christmas so I have a little time to spare waiting for the new card.

I was not automatically sent a new card at the start of 2011. I had to go online to reapply. I believe I waited till February as I had samples and enough to last before I finally went online and reapplied as I realized one was not going to automatically come to me. Personally, I would not wait for one. This coming year it does not matter for me as I no longer have health insurance...

I called them and they told me that they are continueing the program in 2012 and to go to the website and reapply. The site says update coming soon, and they told me that it should be up and running Jan 1st.

You can find the info in the resources sticky thread on the top of the UC board. There should be a link to many PAP programs in there.

The Lialda pharmacy card sign up is www.activatepharmacycard.com

Right now it still says the 2011 info so I wouldn't sign up yet it expires 12/31/2011, but I assume this is the same website you will go to after Jan 1 to sign up for the 2012 card.

I really hope they renew the card for 2012, it helps so much. I've only been paying $10/month at Walmart and it was $70/month without the card.

MY doctor gave me the card originally, and then at the end of 2010 I got a new card in the mail for 2011. I haven't gotten anything like that this year, so I hope they aren't discontinuing the program.
