What do you do on a bad UC day?

janey, thanks for the picture of your living room. It looks very comfortable. I should post mine, it's similar, but different, still feels homey but more centered around the TV.

Lol, funny you should mention those loose pants Old Hat. I LIVE in yoga pants! I have so many gut issues that I just can not wear anything tight around my waist, let alone jeans. Or if I do wear jeans, they have to be made of that stretchy material. My husband got me a pair of those Pajama Jeans for Christmas and I love them! Even if the commercials for them are tacky! lol

     When I suffered with UP...didn't do much at all.  Had to be close to those portapots..lol.

They look just like jeans, have pockets and everything. They have a light soft fleece on the inside and a drawstring that's on the inside as well. They are so comfy!

I have collected first editions of post-WWII American (mostly) literary fiction for a while. The books on the wall and in the glass-enclosed bookcases are all first editions (there are about 1000). The ones on top of the bookshelf are not firsts but they're books I want to keep for one reason or another. I also have a built in bookshelf in my clothes closet, and it's filled with books that are not firsts but are books I'll re-read. And I just got a Kindle in November so that I no longer have to store physical copies of books that aren't collectible. I'm really digging the Kindle, much to my surprise.

My home looks like a library but when I was a little little kid, I imagined that heaven was, in essence, the Library of Congress, so it's no surprise that when I moved into my own home and made it as comfortable and comforting as possible, that included a lot of books.

I find that lying on my left side on the couch snuggled under a blanket helps. I'll watch anything. I've watched so many movies lately that I've gone through 5 dvd players(they start skipping then stop working)in the past 4 years. Luckily I now have satellite tv(DirectTV) with every imaginable channel. I now never miss a single Bruins game(hockey).

I've improved so much since '07 but I'm still not where I'd like to be(total remission). I've learned that stress causes flares and flares cause me stress.

I liked the Big Lebowski. It's so corny that it's funny. It's hard to recommend movies/tv shows to people because everyone has different tastes. I like clever funny as opposed to raunchy or humiliating funny. Of course if you met me you'd never know that I'm a die hard hockey fan. You just never know.
