Heard about MDX-1100 and tried to research it for quite some time... I couldn't find anything after the phase II trial ended in September 2009, not even the results of the trial. I'm assuming that means it didn't go well. There ARE several other new meds in the pipelines of testing and production right now, but they have not yet hit the market. (Projected to become available between now and 2019.)
As far as what's available now, I just started Aza, but I've heard that Remicade (Infliximab) has the highest rates of getting people into remission. (I just didn't want to deal with the infusions unless I had to.) I've done a TON of research over the last year on the IBD meds/treatments available, and there is nothing else out there right now aside from all those little quirky things that work for some people and not others like vitamin D, LDN, SCD, probiotics, L-Glutamine, MMJ, etc... but from my understanding those methods seem to be good for mild/moderate conditions and helping to maintain remission. If he is hospitalized, I doubt any of them would be very effective if at all... I would vote for the big guns.
