Itchy from Remicade?

I had my first Remicade infusion last week on Wednesday. Everything went perfectly and I had no apparent side-effects. Then, on Sunday, I started getting itchy. I don't have a rash and the itching isn't really localized (arms, legs, face, neck, chest) but it is really annoying. I don't have any allergies or dry skin and neither my husband nor my co-workers have any symptoms so I doubt that it is environmental. Allegra and hydrocortisone ointment have only made it marginally better. Could this be from the Remicade?

I called my dr's office at 8:30 this morning but, as my insurance restricts me to a huge university clinic, I doubt I'll hear back until tomorrow afternoon. Any insights would be helpful.

It's good you have a call in to your doctor to let them know. I would break out in itchy hives from the Remicade. They would give me an extra dose of Benadryl before he infusion. So you could be having a mild allergic reaction but then again it could be a variety of reasons you are itching.

Yep, I have taken zyrtex for three years now(since my first infusion) and if I don't take it I itch and itch it is really bad.  Ugh I understand your pain.
