Percocets dose?

So if you didnt see my last post, I thought i had a hemorrhoid but im learning that it could be something else. Well tomorrow i am getting a sigmoidoscopy (sp?) done to see whats going on. I am in a lot of pain and have been prescribed percocets and it says the maximum dose is 6 pills in one day. I have already taken 3 today and its noon. If i end up taking 7 or 8, will i be okay? would anything really bad happen to me?

Be careful,  long term liver damage would be a very big concern.

No, there's a maximum dose for a reason.

What is the doseage? One every 4 hours?

1-2 every 4-6 hrs

But then I assume it goes on to say not to take more than 6 in a day, right? So you can take two at once, but not two every 4 hours.

Percocet is some addictive stuff... I was on it, and I found myself taking it even when I wasn't in heavy pain. Careful with it! Silly that docs will perscribe oxycotin but not cannabis...
